Schedule Details

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
  • Arrive at the Beijing Capital International Airport and check into the hotel for rest.
Day 2: Beijing
  • Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
  • Visit the historic Jingshan Park, a former imperial garden and now beautiful public park at the heart of Beijing.
Day 3: Beijing
  • Visit the Great Wall to experience the ancient architectural marvel.
  • Explore the Temple of Heaven.
Day 4: Beijing to Xi'an
  • Explore the Wuhou Shrine and Jinli Street
  • Wander through the Kuanzhai Alley. 
  • Experience Sichuan’s renowned face-changing opera. 
Day 5: Xi'an
  • Visit the Terracotta Warriors. Discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, the Terracotta Warriors is one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century and has been registered in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site consists of three main buildings, Pit 1, Pit 2, and Pit 3. The three pits occupy an area of 22,000 square meters, housing about 8,000 life-size pottery warriors and horses. These painted terracotta warriors and horses, which individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation, have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history, Emperor Qin Shi Huang, since 2,200 years ago.
Day 6: Xi'an to Chengdu
  • Take a first-class seat on a bullet train from Xi’an to Chengdu.
  • Visit the iconic Xi’an City Wall, which boasts a circumference of nearly 14km. 
  • Visit the ancient Wild Goose Pagoda, built in 652 during the Tang dynasty to house the sutras brought back from ancient India by the famous monk Xuanzang.  
Day 7: Chengdu
  • Visit the Giant Panda Research Base, the largest panda breeding base in the world, and see the center’s animals, including pandas, red pandas, and golden monkeys. 
  • Visit the Wenshu Temple, Chengdu’s oldest and largest Buddhist temple, and absorb the temple’s spiritually calming energy. 
  • Experience Chengdu’s distinct teahouse culture and enjoy tea at various teahouses.
Day 8: Chengdu to Nanjing
  • Enjoy a relaxing morning before proceeding to the airport for your flight to Nanjing. 
Day 9: Nanjing
  • Visit the Tomb of Hongwu, the tomb of the First Empire of the Ming Dynasty. Built between 1381 and 1383, the tomb is lined with beautiful carvings of spiritual stone animals. 
  • Visit the iconic Nanjing wall, spanning over 33.5km and built by over 200,000 laborers during the Ming Dynasty. 
Day 10: Nanjing to Suzhou
  • Take a first-class seat in a high speed G train to Suzhou. 
  • Visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden, a quaint garden with ponds, towers, and terraces. 
Day 11: Suzhou to Shanghai
  • Visit Tongli Town, a beautiful water town with over 1,000 year history. With its abundant waterways and bridges, mansions with spacious halls and extensive gardens, Tongli is praised as “Oriental Venice”, “Natural Photo Studio” and “Ming and Qing Dynasty Architecture Museum.”
  • Take a boat cruise in Tongli Town across the town’s canals.
Day 12: Shanghai
  • Visit the Bund, and marvel at the spectacular international style architectures and their histories while enjoying the charming skyline on the east bank of the Pujiang River.
  • Visit the Yu Garden, located in the Old Town of Shanghai and laid out in 1577 AD by a powerful Ming official. The Yu Garden is a beautiful landscape of pagodas, pavilions, rockeries, fountains, ancient trees, and precious flowers.
  • Tour a Silk Workshop in Shanghai, purchase silks, and marvel at workers practicing their craft. 
  • Visit the Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China and second tallest in the world. 
Day 13: Shanghai
  • Enjoy a leisurely morning.
  • Check out of hotel at noon and head to the airport for departure.
