Chengdu

Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in China, is known as a “land of abundance”, “country of heaven” and “home for pandas.” Because of its geographical location in southwest China, it has been an important place in history. The city is now one of the most important economic, financial,
commercial, cultural, transportation, and communication centers in China. It is most widely associated with giant pandas because of the “Panda Reserves.” It is a transportation hub to Tibet and the UNESCO World Heritages: Leshan Giant Buddha 乐山大佛, Mount Emei 峨眉山 and Jiuzhaigou 九寨沟. Modern Chengdu enjoys a reputation for its slow, carefree, leisure and relaxing daily life for tea, varieties of foods and recreational activities.

Guiyang

Guiyang, nestled in the picturesque province of Guizhou, beckons travelers with its captivating blend of cultural diversity, stunning landscapes, and culinary delights. As the capital city, Guiyang pulsates with vibrant markets, historic landmarks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the city’s rich tapestry of ethnic minority traditions, explore its lush natural wonders, and savor the flavors of authentic Guizhou cuisine. From the enchanting Qingyan Ancient Town to the majestic Huangguoshu Waterfall, Guiyang promises an unforgettable journey through the heart of southwestern China.

Day 4: Fly to Chengdu

  • Visit the Reed Flute Cave, a cave 5 km away from the city center, which contains stunning stalactite and stalagmite structures. 
Day 7: Yibin
  • Explore Lizhuang Ancient Town.
  • Visit the Hejiang Gate. 
  • Take the high-speed train to Guiyang.
Day 8: Guiyang
  • Explore the Qingyan Ancient Town. 
  • Visit the Jiaxiu Tower.
  • Explore the Qianling Park. 
Day 9: Guiyang Day 2
  • Visit Huaxi Park and Guiyang Museum in the morning.
  • Explore the traditional handicraft market in the afternoon.
  • Attend the Old Hongjiang Sauce Dinner.
Day 10: Guiyang - Maotai Town, Guangzhou
  • Visit Maotai Town, tour the distillery, and taste Maotai Liquor.
  • Explore scenic sights and local folk culture in Maotai. 
Day 11: Zunyi
  • Visit Zunyi City, including the Zunyi Meeting Site and Zunyi Meeting History Museum.
  • Enjoy the scenery and local cuisine of Zunyi City.
Day 12: Return to Beijing
  • Fly back to Beijing and conclude the trip 
  • Shop and purchase Chinese souvenirs

Will Wayfarer organize my flights from my home airport?

Unfortunately, no. We do organize any air travel that takes place while on tour.

Do I need to purchase trip insurance?

For travelers on Wayfarer, trip insurance is optional and comes at an additional cost. We strongly recommend that you purchase insurance which may reimburse you for non-refundable trip costs. Travel insurance may offer financial protection for trip cancellation and interruption, as well as assistance should you encounter covered travel delays, baggage loss, or require emergency medical treatment while traveling.
