FAQ

Start and end?

Shanghai (PVG/SHA) to Beijing (PEK/PKX). Most other tours go the opposite direction; we lead with cosmopolitan Shanghai and end with imperial Beijing as the finale.

Are flights included?

Domestic only: Shanghai to Guilin, Zhangjiajie to Xi'an, plus high-speed rail for the other legs. International flights are on you.

I'm afraid of heights. Should I book this?

Maybe. The Bailong Elevator (326 meters, glass walls) and Zhangjiajie's viewing platforms have dramatic drops. But unlike some Zhangjiajie tours, this one skips the Glass Bridge and Tianmen Mountain skywalk, so no transparent-floor sections.

What about food?

Five regional cuisines: Shanghai (sweet, refined), Guilin (light southern), Zhangjiajie (very spicy Hunanese), Xi'an (Silk Road noodles), Beijing (Peking Duck). All dietary needs accommodated.

Are dinners included?

Mostly no. Breakfast daily, most lunches, and three notable dinners are included. Other dinners are open by design so you can explore local restaurants. Budget around $20 to $40 per dinner.
