Wayfarer Education

A travel and volunteer program for college students, built around real friendships, meaningful service, and the places that change us.

FRIENDSHIPS THAT LAST

The Friendships You Form in Your Twenties

There’s something irreplaceable about the friendships you form in your youth, whether in high school or college, and something even more powerful about the ones you form while standing on a mountainside in Nepal or watching the sun rise over the Amazon. At Wayfarer, we believe travel is at its best when it’s shared, and that’s exactly what our newest youth program is built around.

The places that reshape us most are rarely the ones with the longest itineraries. They’re the ones we share with people who matter.

Travel That Changes You

BUILT FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS

A Program Built Entirely Around Young Travelers

Wayfarer Education is designed specifically for college students. We bring together small groups of young people from around the country to explore extraordinary destinations, including communities across East Africa and Nepal, while contributing meaningful service to the places they visit. What sets this program apart is that it’s built entirely around young travelers. Itineraries, group dynamics, service projects, and social experiences are all shaped around what makes this stage of life so unique: the openness, the energy, and the readiness to be changed by what you see.

WHY IT MATTERS

The Bonds You Build Along the Way

We hear it often from past travelers: the trips that mattered most weren’t the ones with the longest packing lists, but the ones where they met people who became lifelong friends and saw places that reshaped how they understand the world. Traveling alongside peers, sharing long bus rides, shared meals, and the quiet moments after a day of service, creates the kind of bonds that classrooms simply can’t.

SERVICE AND STEWARDSHIP

Service That Shapes the Journey

Our volunteer projects are designed in partnership with local communities, focused on conservation, education, and environmental stewardship. Students leave with more than memories. They leave with a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the natural world, the dignity of service, and the responsibility we all share in protecting wild places for the generations who come next.

Travel That Makes Travel Possible for Others

Proceeds from Wayfarer Education go directly toward subsidizing future students who want to participate but might not otherwise have the means to. Every traveler who joins helps open the door for someone else, which means this program grows more accessible with every trip.

It’s a model built on the same spirit that defines the experience itself: that the best things in life are the ones we make possible for one another.

Travel With Purpose, Alongside Others Who Are Growing Right Beside You

Travel changes people. Travel with purpose, alongside others who are growing right beside you, changes them for good. If you’re a college student ready to see the world while contributing to it, we’d love to hear from you.
