Daily Schedule

Arrival Day Arrival in Medellín

We arrive at José María Córdova International Airport, where a private transfer takes us to our hotel. In the afternoon we begin with the History of Transformation tour, a close look at how Medellín turned itself around from years of conflict into a city now known for innovation. We feel that resilience most in Comuna 13, where street art, music, and a strong sense of community tell the story firsthand.

Daily Itinerary The Flavors of Medellín

We spend the morning on a guided street food tour, tasting arepas, empanadas, tropical fruit, and local sweets while our guide shares the story of the neighborhoods behind each dish. The afternoon is free for optional stops like museums, gardens, or artisan shops.

Daily Itinerary To the Island of San Andrés

A private transfer takes us to the airport for our flight to San Andrés. After settling into our beachfront hotel, the afternoon is free to rest by the water and take in the Caribbean breeze.

Daily Itinerary Island Heritage and Culture

We spend the day learning the island's mix of Afro-Caribbean, British, and Colombian roots. We visit the First Baptist Church, local museums, and panoramic viewpoints, and meet members of the Raizal community, the island's native people, as our guide shares their traditions of oral storytelling, music, and culture.

Daily Itinerary A Free Day on San Andrés

The day is ours. We can relax on the beach or at the hotel pool, snorkel the coral reefs, or explore the island by bike or buggy. All meals are included at the hotel today.

Daily Itinerary On to Cartagena

After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Cartagena. On arrival, a private transfer takes us to our hotel in the Historic Center or Bocagrande, with the afternoon free to explore or enjoy dinner by the sea.

Daily Itinerary The Old City and Its Fortress

We begin with a city tour of Cartagena, taking in the imposing San Felipe Castle, the Walled City, and the lively, colorful streets of Getsemaní. In the afternoon we join a guided Colombian rum tasting, a window into one of the country's old traditions.

Daily Itinerary The Rosario Islands

We sail out to Isla Corona in the Rosario Islands. We spend the day on the water and the sand, with fresh seafood for lunch, in an island setting run with sustainability in mind. Lunch is included.

Final Day Departure

After breakfast, a private transfer takes us to Cartagena's airport for our onward flight, bringing the journey to a close.
