Meet Our Founder
Leah Xiao founded Wayfarer Green Travel with a conviction that travel and conservation are not at odds, but partners. After years of designing tours and building travel programs across the American Southwest, China, Jordan, and other parts of the world, she founded Wayfarer to formalize a different approach to the industry: one rooted in environmental responsibility, cultural respect, and the belief that travelers themselves can become powerful advocates for the places they visit.
Based in Sandy, Utah, Leah leads Wayfarer’s mission, partnerships, and program design, working alongside an experienced team of guides who bring each itinerary to life on the ground. Her focus is on building tours that are as educational as they are memorable, and on supporting environmental causes close to home, including the protection of Utah’s wild horse populations.
