At Wayfarer Green Travel, we believe in the power of immersive learning experiences that go beyond the classroom. Our mission is to create opportunities for college and university students to engage directly with the world around them, fostering a deeper connection to the environment and the cultures that shape each place we visit.
Through our field-based programs, students gain insights by exploring historical sites, engaging with local communities, and studying ecosystems firsthand. Our approach is rooted in sustainability and ethical travel, ensuring that each journey educates without disrupting the places we visit.

Wildlife & Conservation
Engage with local experts and field researchers to study species recovery, ecosystem balance, and the importance of preserving biodiversity across the American West.

Experience the cultural heritage of the American Southwest through direct partnerships with Indigenous communities, local historians, and cultural educators.

Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Wayfarer Green Travel, we connect students to the natural world through sustainable travel practices. By participating in our programs, students contribute directly to the preservation of the American West’s landscapes and wildlife, including initiatives aimed at protecting Utah’s wild horse populations.
A portion of every program fee supports the conservation organizations and Indigenous-led initiatives in the places we visit. Join us in our mission to foster a deeper appreciation for our planet while making a positive impact on the communities we explore.

Who We Collaborate With
Government Agencies
We coordinate with local and federal government agencies including the Bureau of Land Management, the US Forest Service, the National Park Service, and Utah State Parks. These working relationships support permit access, research opportunities, and educational resources for our programs.
National and State Parks
We have established working relationships with parks including Goblin Valley State Park, Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, and Antelope Island State Park. These allow us to access their facilities, expertise, and educational resources while supporting park management initiatives and conservation efforts.
Local Businesses
We partner with local businesses including tour operators, accommodations, and restaurants to support the local economy while enhancing the educational experience for our participants.
Community Outreach
We have developed community outreach programs to foster relationships with local residents and organizations. Engaging with communities through workshops, volunteer projects, and cultural exchanges strengthens ties and builds shared responsibility for environmental stewardship.
Educational Institutions
We collaborate with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to expand the reach and impact of our programs. Partnering with academic institutions provides access to faculty expertise, research opportunities, and structured programming that enriches the learning experience.
